From Buy Me a Coffee to new candles and a podcast, there are a lot of new things happening on my end, and an event worth mentioning from last month. As always, I want to start by welcoming new subscribers to their first newsletter and all returning subscribers for helping support my writing journey.

The graphic novel Coma Noir

In a writer's journey for self-promotion, I was inspired to start making stuff that was based on my books. The first of which is a candle/waxmelt scent inspired by The Fairlane Incidents called Hopelessly Jaded Romance. Since that was so fun for me to design a scent, never having done that before, I also contacted Stavros, and he loved the idea, so I also designed one based off Coma Noir.

The Fairlane Series
Finn Fairlane: The Complete Package
By Nick Savage

The one thing I didn't want to do with these scents is grab some label ready smell and slap my name on it. That wouldn't be who I am. No. What I wanted to do was capture the essence of the Fairlane books in a smell. Hard to do, right? Well, it took some time, but I blended the scents of a storm, bonfires, tobacco, bourbon, leather, and vinyl and mixed it together to create a scent that brings the user back to those days when life was open and possibilities were as endless as the hearts we broke along the way.

Once that was completed, I wanted to capture the scent of Coma Noir and the shady underworld of The Streets of Bombay politico society. (If you've not read the graphic novel, now is the time) So, I combined the scents of a smokey gin joint and amber to create a truly unique and alluring scent. None of this would be possible without the help of Wick'ed Salems Candles who will be doing all the manufacturing for me. I tried making one candle and was like, "No frickin' way." Courtney and her husband, Sean, run the company and they are wonderful people. All I have to do is mix the scents and they make the candles and melts. I am very excited for this venture, and pre-orders are available HERE. The excitement growing around these has been really encouraging. We are hoping to get the orders out by mid-December so they "should" arrive in time for Christmas.

The West Haven Undead Book 5
The Grey Fairy Anomaly
By Nick Savage
Review by Ash:
This story is a beautiful tragedy from start to finish, Nick's flawless execution of the final book in this series is incredible...(redacted for spoilers) ...I was fully invested from start to finish with the characters growing and learning more about who they are...But most of all growing into who they're meant to be as adults with curveballs being thrown at them every time they think they've got it all figured out, which, in my opinion, is so relatable regardless of background or circumstance life is always giving us challenges to grow from and it was just extremely interesting to see how these characters have grown and adapted since book one. I highly recommend this book along with the entire West Haven Undead Books. Although this is the last book in the series, I hope it's not the final story of these characters I've grown to love so much.

The above review is the first to come in for The Grey Fairy Anomaly and I can say, it does not disappoint. A giant thanks to Ash for the lovely words. Of course, if you have not ordered the book yet, it releases on Nov 21 but it is not stand-alone. I highly recommend starting with book 1, Us of Legendary Gods.

So, Buy Me A Coffee has become something to me since someone asked for other ways to help support me. I can only write so fast, after all. So, I created my page on there, which you can find HERE and it has a few ways to show your love. From one-time donations to keep me afloat, to monthly subscriptions that offer discounts on all of my products. It is just a way to show some love, and while always appreciated more than I can say, it is never expected.

Last month, I did an event called Villains & Nightmares organized by Moirae Sisters Booktique and it was a ton of fun. I got to chat with a ton of cool people. One of who picked up my Fairlane series and later messaged me asking if she could cosplay as a character. That made me so happy to hear. The event itself was a costume ball, and let me tell you, the costumes were all on point. Not a bad costume in sight. The food was fantastic, and the drinks were delicious. Such a fun time.

November is a busy, busy month for me. The month is run in by having already been at Spooky Empire for a day. (Oct 31-Nov 2) (Yes, it's my wedding anniversary, but we went to Howl-o-Scream to celebrate) The weekend after Spooky Empire is Makers Faire Orlando, (Nov 7-9) which never disappoints. The robot wars alone make it beyond fun! it's also the only science and tech show I do throughout the year. The following week I get to spend with family coming in from out of town. I am super excited for that. Once they leave, I have Lake County Comic Con on the 22. I have never done this show before, so I have no idea what to expect. And to finish off the month, I will be signing books at Dragons Den Bookstore in Arcadia, FL from 11-2 (or something like that.)

Drinking with Authors

Lastly, I was asked to host the podcast, Drinking with Authors, and I said yes. Had I said no, this would be an odd thing to write about. There are already a few episodes posted. So check it out and spread the love. It's a half-hour-ish format where I chat with an author and we drink. sometimes alcohol, other times, tea because authors are classy people.

One last thing, if you are a Florida resident and missed Howl-O-Scream at Busch Gardens in 2025, be sure to check it out in 2026. It was an absolute blast!

Until next month, remember, it costs nothing to be kind.
