First, I'd like to welcome all new subscribers to my newsletter. It always makes me feel more and more like what I am doing matters in some way. For that, I thank every one of you.

That said, if you are looking for something fun and out of the ordinary to do and it's somewhere near you or coming to a place near you, I highly recommend seeing John Williams in concert. If you don't know who he is, you have definitely heard his music. As Spielberg once said, "E.T. doesn't fly without John Williams." On that note, I guess you could say Harry Potter has no magic without John Williams. He has written so many timeless scores for as many timeless movies that he has affected us in one way or another whether we know it or not. I had the privilege of seeing the Orlando Philharmonic perform under the baton of Enrico Lopez-Yanez, and it was a sight to behold. The young conductor was engaging, talented, and a blast to see perform. The musicians were, as always, top notch.

If you are a veteran, be sure to check out the site VetTix.org for deep discounts of tickets for everything from symphony orchestras to sporting events all around the nation.

As far as last months' conventions, they never disappoint. I love seeing repeat customers and readers whom I have come to consider friends stop by my booth and chat while checking out the new wares. And I always enjoy making new friends and customers. I love the joy of surprise people get when they realize my books and my shirts are better quality than expected. I guess that's a dig at myself for not better presenting my work or trying to be humble about it. Either that or there's a lot of products out there that is much lower quality than people expect. If that's the case, I am glad to be of higher standards.

The final West Haven Undead book.

Not much going on here. I am still waiting on cover designs and typeset to ping my inbox so I can give notes. Once that is finalized, I will have preorder links available, cover tease, title reveal (if I haven't already), and all that fun stuff. Until then, we keep waiting. But since waiting is for the fishes, catch up here on the series that is sure to keep you turning the page.

Author Highlight: Mary Dublin

Author Mary Dublin

Joining me on May 24th is Mary Dublin. Born and raised in the heart of Florida, she has had a passion for storytelling since childhood. Her love for words began at a young age, where she found solace in books that transported her to fantastical worlds and inspired her to begin dreaming of her own stories. After completing her Bachelor's degree in Character Animation/Emerging Media, Mary went on to pursue a career in communications and take on her dream of becoming a writer. With her unique style of writing, Mary's books are a blend of aching romance, heart-pounding drama, and suspense. Her characters are flawed, complex, and leave a lasting impression on her readers. Apart from writing, Mary is a passionate traveler, and her experiences in different parts of the world inspire elements in her novels. When she's not writing, she can be found practicing yoga, trying new hiking trails, or curled up with a good book on a rainy day.

A Shot in the Dark by Mary Dublin and Anne Kendsley

Obey the curfew. Never fly past Elysia’s boundaries. Above all — never speak to humans.

For twenty-one summers, Sylvia has evaded the ironclad rules set by her village, driven by an insatiable curiosity to know the world beyond the confines of the willow her fellow fairies call home. Her ventures often lead her to the vacant human mansion beyond Elysia’s forest, where ghosts whisper and ancient treasures beckon in the darkness.

Her exploration is shattered by a bullet through her wing— courtesy of Jon and Cliff, seasoned monster hunters who suspect her involvement in gruesome disappearances. A harrowing captivity transforms into an unlikely alliance when Sylvia saves Jon’s life by sealing a magical pact with the enigmatic Ancients— fae powers who demand a cryptic price. Sylvia is left with no choice but to stay by Jon’s side while he and Cliff hunt for a ruthless werewolf, determined to free herself from the Ancients’ settlement.

As the dangerous hunt unfolds, Sylvia finds that not all legends about hunters are true. She realizes she and Jon may have more in common than she ever could have imagined— and icy hostility melts into forbidden attraction.

But it doesn’t matter how he begins to look at her— it can’t matter. If Jon discovers her secret, Sylvia knows her fate is sealed. With the full moon's ominous countdown away, Sylvia and the hunters race against time with the fate of countless lives—including Sylvia's—hanging in the balance.

After all, killing a monster is easy compared to falling in love with someone you shouldn’t.

Perfect for fans of SUPERNATURAL and R.J. Anderson’s KNIFE, SHOT IN THE DARK is an action-packed urban fantasy novel that explores the courage it takes to embrace our true identity entwined with haunting themes of forbidden love and found family.

Upcoming Events

May has a fairly full calendar, starting with Starkey Ranch Author Fest tomorrow, May 3rd. If you are local to the area, or up for a fun drive, supporting libraries is always a good cause. There will be around thirty authors all selling and signing their books, yours truly included.

The following weekend I get to myself and hopefully catch up on some long overdue writing and painting.

On Friday, May 16th, I have a night market from 6-10 in Ocala with Florida Oddities. Lots of fun vendors and good food trucks. And it's free to attend.

After getting home sometime after midnight, I have to be up early for SyFy Florida in Zephyrhills. This show is put on by Lori and Sean Syderski who run Syfy Bartow. While Syfy Bartow is their longest running and largest event, all of their events are a ton of fun.

To finish off the month, on Saturday, May 24th, I will be joining three other romance authors at White Rose Books & More in downtown Kissimmee from 12-2. There, I will be signing copies of The Fairlane Series. Of course, if you have previously purchased any of my books and want me to sign them, I will gladly do so. If you've read mine already, come down and check out the other three ladies who will be there.

My links on Linktree.

As always, I'll end with this. You can find me on your favorite social media, but if you want some cool tunes to listen to or want to find me elsewhere, all my links to everything can be found on my Link Tree Here. Until next month, keep reading and stay true to yourself.
