Welcome to the new subscribers!
The new year has had a month to marinate in our souls. I am sure some have tried to cling onto the new year, new me mentality. I hope that those who have, have found success. For the rest of us, welcome back to the same us we are comfortable with. Of course, in comfort we find familiarity. Sometimes what is familiar is not the best. So, if comfort and familiarity are not as comforting as you want, may you find the motivation to move onward to better things. That said, a huge welcome to all the new subscribers since 2023 began! I am, as always, very grateful to be able to live the kind of life where leaving my home is a want and not a requirement. To any overly extroverted people reading this, let me translate. I love the outside world, just not as much as I like the inside of my home and my property. Also, I am truly happy I can write and paint from home. I do love my public appearances, though. The conventions I do let me meet new people. When I was a self-published author, I did a couple of book signings that helped me meet some new readers. Love it. As a traditionally published author, I now get to do a signing and meet even more new readers and hopefully have some established readers swing by to say hello! If such an encounter interests you, I shall be at the Brandon Town Center Square Barnes & Nobles on Feb 11th! That's a Saturday! The next weekend, on the 18th, I'll be at Sy Fy Bartow for a huge outdoor event! Both of those cities are in The Land of Meth and Sunshine we call Florida. (That's a reference to one of my best selling hand painted shirts!) If those days are no good or you live a little further south, you can find me at SW FL Anime Fest on the 12th. I'm Leveling Up
My newsletter generally hits the 1st of the month, but unlike the societal norm of working Mon-Fri, I work Thurs-Mon. So, I was off yesterday, thus the email today.
